[Title] Memorandum for Cooperation on the Cambodia-Lao PDR-Viet Nam Development Triangle Using the Assistance by Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund

Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith and Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam H.E. Mr. Pham Gia Khiem;
Recalling that cooperation on the Cambodia - Lao PDR - Viet Nam Development Triangle not only promotes multi-faceted relations and mutual trust among the CLV countries but also contributes to peace, stability and integration of the Mekong Region and ASEAN,
Reaffirming the important role and contribution of Japan in the development of the Mekong region including the Development Triangle,
Decided to use approximately 20 million USD of the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) for the implementation of the attached list of candidate projects for the Development Triangle as soon as the feasibility of each project is confirmed by the recipient country and Japan. Out of the 20 million USD, 1.5 million USD will be used for a Feasibility Study of the Road Improvement on the Cambodia-Lao PDR-Viet Nam (CLV) Development Triangle and 18.5 million USD will be used for the other projects in the list.
