(On the ordinary session of the Diet)

Four months have passed since I assumed office as prime minister. I have been doing everything in my capacity to address various issues, including the novel coronavirus as well as fertility treatments, childcare waiting lists, 35-student class sizes, and "green" and "digital" transformations. In the coming Diet session, we will submit the budget and bills to materialize these policies and provide thorough explanations and gain the people's understanding. This is how I envisage this Diet to be.

(On how the PM spent the previous day)

It was my first day since taking office that I did not have any commitments. I practiced for today's policy speech and took care of other businesses.
