(On the aims of Prime Minister Kishida's visit to Singapore and the outcomes he expects)

First of all, I will deliver the keynote speech at the Shangri-la Dialogue (the IISS Asia Security Summit). That speech will address what role Japan can play as a peace-loving nation elected yesterday to be a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, in the context of the peaceful world order now being subjected to major challenges. Regarding this point, I intend to send out as a message to the world my vision for how to achieve peace. Alongside that are the meetings that will be held there in Singapore. Last month I met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Tokyo, and following on that, I intend to meet again with Prime Minister Lee and deepen our discussions on cooperating further to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific
