In the wake of the helicopter crash on January 18, which resulted in casualties of Ukrainian nationals, including Internal Minister Denys Monastyrskyy and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, the Prime Minister, and Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs, respectively sent messages of condolences on January 19 to H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, and H.E. Mr. Dmytro KULEBA, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, expressing sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
