[Title] Statement by H.E. Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan The 4th Japan-India Forum
Dr. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister,
Colleagues of the Ananta Centre,
Distinguished guests,
Namaskaar and good morning,
I am MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
On behalf of the Government of Japan,
I extend my congratulations on the convening of the fourth Japan-India Forum.
On the occasion of the first forum back in 2021,
I also delivered a video message as Foreign Minister.
Since then, this forum has become an even more substantial platform. This is all thanks to your dedicated efforts.
India is an indispensable partner
to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
Today, the international situation is growing increasingly severe and complex.
Japan and India must work together for the sake of regional and international peace and stability.
Together with Dr. Jaishankar,
I look forward to achieving tangible results
across a broad range of areas,
based on the ‘Japan-India Joint Vision for the Next Decade’.
In closing, I wish the fourth Japan-India Forum
every success
and extend my best wishes for your continued endeavours.
Dhanyawaad. Thank you.
